Our area gets pretty hot, but it costs a fortune if you keep the air conditioner on all day. I am always looking at ways to improve the temperature and comfort of our house without switching on the air conditioner all the time. I am keeping track of my success by trying different techniques in my home, as well as looking at how much power we are using at the time.
